Do we know a fact that tourism and map are part of each other? When you arrive at a new place like Nepal, the very first thing you need to hold is a map. The map gives you a sense of confidence and some command over new space. We get a sense that the place is right there and you are just right here. A good map in that sense works as our great companion.
We understand this great companionship. This very relationship in fact has inspired us to work with the idea of making some of the best maps in this subcontinent in the series known as Shangri-la Maps. Maps in this series have been designed scientifically and artistically. Our over a six-year-long endeavor has taught us to work and think like professionals in this field. These maps, in our opinion, narrow down the distance between you and places you would like to reach within Nepal and other neighboring places such as Tibet, Sikim and Bhutan.
The Maps in the Shangri-la series have earned popularity among both national and international trekkers and adventurers. We are sure that they can be essential tools in planning your adventures too. These maps in fact have been designed and produced to address the important role that maps can play in the domain of trekking and tourism.
At present we have already produced maps about over thirty eight places in course of six years of our business career. These places are very popular tourist destinations in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and Sikim. The main office of the Shangri-la Maps is located in Kupondol, on the way to Patan. It is run by a group of professionals in the field of map making as well as tourism. No doubt, we have got the most experienced staffs who have been working with us since the beginning of our business career.
We are proud to say that we have been trusted by the professionals because they have got nose for the maps. We personally meet the professionals of the concerned field and acquire suggestions. We are proud to say that some of the world renowned travelogue writers such as John Blezza, Frankes Klatzel, Andrew Stevenson, Keith Dowman and James Giambore among others have written foreword to our maps, and helped these maps come in better shape containing accurate contents.
Similarly, social researchers such as anthropologist and professors at the university too have used our maps and appreciated our skills. They have found our maps very helpful and thereby have encouraged us to come with new ideas in this field. We are very much thankful to their contribution in keeping and maintaining standard in our map making art and craft and business.
We can say two things about these maps: first of all, they have been designed after a careful research. Second, we keep on updating it and take notice of all information happening in the respective places.
These maps are available in all major books shops of the Kathmandu valley and Pokhara. Since we do produce them and do marketing too, you can get them in reasonable prices compared to its feeble rivals in the market.
These maps have maintained quality in its shape, size, color and materials. They can be folded and put in your handbag. They have been published in the materials of international quality. The ways and destinations printed in it are clear and are eye-friendly. They can be easily read, traced and thus they help one to explore out the places and other destinations quickly and comfortably.
